Will Personal Training In The 21st Century Be An Infomercial

The idea that people would turn to an infomercial to undertake the services of a personal trainer is somewhat unique. Yet it is happening. Not in the traditional sense but as you watch infomercials you get to see the product in action. You see the slim in shape woman who just loves it. They are eye candy. Then you see and hear from the women who lost inches off their improved waistlines in the matter of a few weeks. Here is where you pay attention. These women are more like you. It is one thing to show a twenty-something girl looking toned, it is another to see a mom of three children talk about her weight struggle.

The personal trainer or in most cases the inventor of the product walks this mom of three through a series of exercises all the while giving you a lesson too. Of course all of this will come with dvds to make sure you adhere to the exercises correctly. So what you are witnessing is personal training on the television. It’s no different that watching bodies work out on the cliffs over looking some Hawaiian beach. These instruction taped shows have been sort of a mainstay in fitness TV. And speaking of fitness TV. With more cable channel companies looking for programming to fill the air look for more of exercise shows attached with a product to sell. After all cross marketing has been going on for years and looks as if the 21st century will see more of the same.
